Hello, I’m Ivana,
I was born in a small mountain town in the Czech Republic, where I grew up surrounded by nature and books. From a young age, I felt a deep calling to explore the world beyond, to connect with different cultures, and to learn new languages. That calling led me on a lifelong journey — both outward and inward.
For the past four years, I’ve been living in northern Peru, working closely with local communities, including the Indigenous Awajún people. Their way of life — rooted in nature, resilience, and community — has reawakened in me a sense of what truly matters: freedom, emotional connection, simplicity, and respect for natural resources.
My academic background was shaped by intellectual knowledge and the desire to please others. But eventually, I felt like a well-functioning machine — disconnected from my own truth. My personal transformation began with a courageous step: immersing myself in a radically different culture and letting it teach me what no book ever could.
In 2022, I founded Listra – Perla del Amazonas, a sustainable socio-economic project born from this explorer journey. It brings together:
A Fish Reproduction Center supporting food security and sustainable aquaculture in region Amazonas – Perú.
Traveling through Perú (including or not healing experiences with sacred Amazonian plants)
Promotion and sale of Peruvian Artisanal Crafts, honoring local wisdom and creativity
Through Listra, I bridge cultures, support local empowerment, and invite others to discover thsi part of the world.
Why Listra ?
Listra is a small native village in the Amazonas region of northern Peru. It is home to the Awajún (Aguaruna) people — an Indigenous community known for their deep connection to nature, strong sense of autonomy, and ancestral warrior spirit.
I first visited Listra in 2019 as part of an expedition. Since then, I’ve returned regularly, forming bonds with the land and its people that have transformed my life.
The Awajún are known for their authenticity and resistance to external influences. Historically, they have never truly conformed to centralized political structures. Many still live independently, maintaining their own rhythms and values. Among them are wise men and women who carry profound knowledge of the Amazonian forest and its sacred plants — knowledge passed down through generations.
Of course, modern life is reaching even remote villages. Not all Awajún today are connected to their cultural heritage. Some leave their territories in search of new opportunities in cities like Chiclayo or Lima. But there are still those who walk proudly in the footsteps of their ancestors.
That, after all, is the role of cultures around the world: to express unique facets of human experience — like archetypes in a mosaic — and help us all remember who we are.
When we open ourselves to a culture different from our own, we don’t lose ourselves — we become more whole.
The Listra Project was born from this spirit of meaningful exchange between cultures — a bridge between the Andean -Amazonian – peruvain world and the wider global community.

A Land of Nature, Culture, and Ancient Wisdom
Peru is a country full of contrasts and beauty. From the dry Pacific coast, through the high Andes mountains, to the deep Amazon jungle, it offers many landscapes, people, and ways of life.
Each region has its own character. On the coast, life moves with the sea breeze and strong traditions. In the Andes, time slows down among colorful villages, sacred mountains, and deep respect for Mother Earth. In the jungle, nature is alive — full of plants, animals, and ancient knowledge that has been passed down through generations.
Peru was once the center of the Inca Empire, one of the most advanced civilizations in South America.
The Incas built cities in the mountains, developed farming systems, and lived in harmony with nature. But long before the Incas, and still today, many Indigenous cultures exist — each with its own language, stories, and way of seeing the world.
Listra is born from this meeting between cultures. It’s a space for connection, respect, and learning — where ancient wisdom and modern life can meet and grow together.
