The Awajún, known aswell as Aguarunas, belong to the Jíbaro ethnolinguistic family. The Awajún people are located in an area with a tropical climate, with dense forest formation typical for high jungle. The humid climate is due to its proximity to the Equatorial Line, with the average temperature being 25 C with annual rainfall between 3,000 and 4,000 mm.
The most important river that runs through the entire Awajún territory is the Marañón, and its main tributaries are the Cenepa, Chiriaco, Nieva and Santiago rivers, which together form the region known as the “Cinco Ríos”.
Rivers are the main means of mobility for people in search of the different services offered in the capital cities of the districts, they allow the exchange of agricultural products that are grown in native communities, and facilitate the marketing of tools necessary to the daily activities of the indigenous population.
The Awajún territories, with a population of approx. 55 400 inhabitants, are located in the departments of Cajamarca, Amazonas, San Martín and Loreto.

Nugkui (spirit of the earth – spirit of the Awajún garden and its fertility)

El ajutap es un espíritu, poder solo se encuentra en cerros y cataratas.
El poder de ajutap solo se encuentra atravez con la planta de TUE.
La persona que quiere transformación con el poder de ajutap puede realizarse una ceremonia en mismo catarata o en un cerro.
Una persona transformado con el poder de ajutap tiene una vida muy exitosa, empieza a tener muchos cambios.
La fuerza y el poder de ajutap le permite crear mucha inteligencia para poder conducir la sociedad.
Con poder de ajutap puedes tener mayores posibilidades para el futuro.
El ajutap te transforma lo que tu quieres que seas – te convierte un hombre libre y poderoso.

GUERRERO AWAJUN CONTRA – SHUAR WAMPIS
WAIMAKU AWAJUN
El awajun waimaku es poderoso el awajun viene de proveniente pinchu aents el camino y visión del waimaku es tener fuerza y inteligencia para matar el enemigo y vivir en paz.
No dejar de ser vencido por otros grupos guerreros el guerrero waimaku awajun era atacado constantemente por otros grupos guerreros llamado shuar wampis.
Pero awajun nunca se dejo vencer por otros grupos guerreros. su estilo de vida de awajun es vivir tomando la planta activamente asi mantener la fuerza y inteligencia para cual quier ataque.
Muy pronto ocacionaba el ataque por wampis.
El awajun cuando realizaba el enfrentamiento utilizaba LANZA y otro arma llamado TANTAN con la lanza mataba y con tantan se protegia.
El waimaku AWAJUN muy raras veces tenia que caer en sus manos de WAMPIS .
El wampis si lograba matar a un waimaku awajun, cortaban su cabeza y lo llevaban a su destino.
Primero lo secaba en el sol. y luego colocaban la cabeza en un lugar sagrado.
Para el wampis la cabeza de awajun es un suerte muy poderoso, pues por ese razón el wampis siempre celebraban una fiesta bailable con sus aliados incluido la comida.
Segun el wampis, la comida y bebida celebrada con el nombre de TSANTSA salia una comida mas deliciosa del territorio wampis.
WAYUSA
Waís en Awajún es conocido en español como Wayusa. Su origen es de amazonas peru.
El wais es utilizado como energizante. Esta planta pueden tomar aquellos hombres, mujeres y niños que quieren ser valiente sabio e inteligente.
Esta practica ancestral hasta ahora se aplica el awajun.
La toma de wayusa no se toma en cualquier hora. Wayusa es una planta poderosa. Antes del canto de gallo se levanta y empieza a hervir la hoja. a partir de las 4:00 de la mañana la planta tiene que estar listo.
La persona que toma tiene que consumir una buena proporción.
Hasta que llene el estomago. Una vez cuando el estomago este lleno empieza a vomitarse bastante hasta que salga SHUPA. El shupa es un factor acumulante proviene de consumo de muchos alimentos y bebidas industrializadas.
Que con el tiempo podemos tener algunos problemas en nuestro salud. El waís es una planta muy potencial, energizante limpia el estomago total. también estimula el estado de animo.aumenta la inteligencia asi mismo te mantiene saludable el estado físico.
